People today are atmospheric

A slow rhythm

Without any real highs

Or real lows – MP3 like.

Anti-Depressant.

In a sudden instance,
the window view is bitten
Everything seems edgy
And distorted with a 70’s
Filter.

Peering light through downtown
Glass corridors, in an annunciation
A vowel-less shout
Seemingly hopeless – like life in war.

Tripping on my words
Unable to emote
T H E S E words
Quick enough.

I see the messed
Up drag queen
Hobbling this way when she
Had too much pre-game
And after-hours – in between her
Charade.  I think she’s missing a shoe.

On a day, walking dogs downtown
This was common place,
Like life repeating because it
Was.
