Did I kill you with my devastation and my rugged good looks?

How cerebral was it when we said "I love you"?

How connected are we inside of one another physically!!

How the tide changed and the beat marched on,

Two different drummers banging away.

When the tide changed and the drummer drummed no more.

When all was said and done.

After I left, after the silent treatment…
After you called me back and we were friends again.

Did I drive you into the arms of any?

Did I wound you enough to propel you into feeling connected once again?

                           (no matter what)

If I held you longer, would you not have met him?

Would he not have given you your first bump?

If I never left, would you be hooked right now?

Did I kill you because I let you go?
